Members of the House

Artoran-kylervus.jpg
Warden Lord Artoran Kylervus
Head of House (Status 7) • Warden of Three-Rivers • 43 years
The Warden of Three-Rivers inherited lordship of his House and wardenship of Three-Rivers just a little over ten years ago, after his mother died in a horse-riding accident. He is a serious man, very aware of what is expected of him by legacy and liege, and has never given anyone cause to doubt his ability or commitment. Still, he is notoriously humorless, and seems to cultivate no close friends of any sort.
Entonie-kylervus.jpg
Lady Entonie Kylervus
Consort (Status 6) • 44 years
As a girl, Entonie eschewed a position as a handmaiden in favor of squiring for a knight. Though she was awarded her spurs by her sponsor at the age of 20, she did not go on to undertake her Summer Vigil for a single reason: she became pregnant by Artoran, then a dashing young knight. Although tradition maintains that she had the right to her knighthood if she wanted it, she never did, instead becoming Artoran's consort and the mother to his children. It was she who trained her children (including Sinelle) in the use of arms, and she always sits on her husband's war councils.
Mithrad-kylervus.jpg
Sir Mithrad Kylervus
Heir (Status 6) • 24 years
Oldest of the Kylervus scions, Sir Mithrad spent the first few years after his knighting in the court of the Crown. His last few years have been spent beside his father, learning how to rule the family's domain and ideally preparing for a role as Warden one day. Mithrad spends several months out of the year in Crownhold, and is a regular in the courts there.
Walrech-kylervus.jpg
Sir Walrech Kylervus
Secondborn Son (Status 5) • 22 years
Knighted when he was 16, Walrech is every inch the young knight. Although he was brash and self-assured, he has spent the last three years at the Gatewatch Academy in Houndsreach. Nearly ready to graduate, Walrech has become a serious young tactician, his natural talents honed by the lessons at the academy.
Sinelle-kylervus.jpg
Sinelle Kylervus
Thirdborn Daughter (Status 4) • 18 years
One of the handmaids to Crown Evginda Ylrath herself, Sinelle has been in the midst of courtly intrigues since she was twelve. She has recently returned home to spend some time with her family before she marries her betrothed, Enfendis Vyranthal, of the great House Vyranthal.
Kedmond-kylervus.jpg
Kedmond Kylervus
Fourthborn Son (Status 3) • 12 years
Having served as a page at the Crownhold Court for the last four years, Kedmond is a canny young man who knows when to shut up and listen. His father wishes to find him a reputable knight to squire with, although Kedmond himself isn't sure he wants to be a knight.

Sworn Companions & Cousins

Mabielle.jpg
Lady Mabielle
Lady Entonie's Sworn Companion • 38 years
A renowned beauty, Lady Mabielle is Entonie's devoted lover and boon companion (as well as that of the Warden, some whisper). A courtier of great charm and wit, she is a central figure in the active social set of the Warden's court, ensuring that the ebb and flow of the court continues in such a way as to give the maximum benefit to the Warden and his lady without inconveniencing them overmuch. She takes her social director role very seriously. Though she is clearly of wrightfolk blood, the wise do not inquire overmuch – it is a point of sensitivity that she has no wrightfolk surname, as their culture has no name for someone who does what she does, due to the contempt in which industrious wrightfolk normally hold someone like her.

Retainers of the House

Adargand-fendil.jpg
Magus Adargand Fendil
Court Sorcerer • 32 years
The boyish-looking sorcerer serves the Warden and his court, bringing the arts of Benediction and Warding to their best use for the lord and his vassals. Adargand hails from a line of sorcerers with roots in Steelvale; the Fendil clan traces its origins to one of the original Legionary Sorcerers back in the founding of the Crowndom. Adargand's constant companion and sorcerous familiar is a moon-white owl; court gossip says that in order to discern where Adargand's true attention is focused, do not follow his gaze, but that of his unblinking familiar.
Sylathis-qirendis.jpg
Herald Sylathis Qirendis
Court Herald • 64 years
A man in service to the Kylervus lords since his mid-twenties, Sylanthis is arguably a member of the Kylervus family. He is a primary advisor to both Lord and Lady Kylervus, and took charge of teaching their children the ins and outs of court and its etiquette.
Ymathis-asterum.jpg
Sir Ymathis Asterum
Master-at-Arms • 59 years
The one-eyed Master-at-Arms of House Kylervus is a quiet bear of a man. In a court of graces and charm, he often stands out by his simple silences, a polite nod being the general extent of his courtesies. Woe to those who choose to mock the knight's lack of graces, however, for he is well-loved by the Kylervus children. Ymathis is the uncle of the current lord of House Asterum.
Lanera-qirendis.jpg
Dame Lanera Qirendis
Castellan • 35 years
The daughter of Herald Qirendis, Dame Lanera grew up in the Kylervus court, squired for Sir Ymathis, and has served House Kylervus since her Summer Vigil. She serves High Falinthoss as its Castellan, and frequently accompanies Lady Entonie as a bodyguard when the lady ventures out of the castle. Lanera is a woman of distinct humor, with a smile for most folk, and a simple disarming charm.
Marint-kamardan.jpg
Sir Marint Kamardan
Household Knight • 26 years
Sir Marint is a handsome young man, one who has the lords and ladies of the Kylervus court sighing and swooning. He is every bit the courtly knight, with skill at lance and song alike.
Kordus-asterum.jpg
Sir Kordus Asterum
Household Knight • 24 years
The nephew of Sir Ymathis, Sir Kordus represents the newest generation of Asterum knights to serve House Kylervus, a fact that the Asterum take a great deal of pride in. Sir Kordus is learning all he can from his uncle, but has higher aspirations: he desires to be admitted into an order of knights-cavalier, and so looks for opportunities to comport himself on the battlefield. To date, this has been solely tourneys.
