Though the facility is a private one and not attached to the VA system or government, it does maintain one-fifth of its beds for the care of veterans in need of extensive care who cannot afford it, offering beds and care for free. The facility is located near a gas station and convenience store outside of Warrenton, but the location is basically secluded. It is surrounded by a brick wall topped with wrought iron.
