Rastramal are native to the Golden Sun system. They are tall, rarely shorter than five-and-a-half feet in height, and often being a full foot taller than that, men and women both. Rastramal folk have golden-to-bronze skin, with large, luminous eyes that range in color from amber-gold and into dark brown hues, with occasionally black-eyed specimens. Their hair is usually deep blue-black and grows straight and silky, achieving long hair quite readily. Their builds are thin but well-muscled, with physiques like that of gymnasts and runners.

Rastramal Humans in the Ravimarga

  • Baharis: Thanks to the proliferation of the Sunwrights Guild and the near-obsession with diplomacy on the part of the Rastram Kanaqa, Rastramal humans are probably the most common of all races in Baharis. The Keeper is herself Rastramal, though she shows no particular favor to them, given that she is said to be said-generation Rastramal at best.
  • The Golden Sun: The place-of-origin for Rastramal folk, they outnumber any other race or bloodline of humanity by ten-to-one, easily.
  • The Blood Sun: Given the strong diplomatic ties between the Rastram Kanaqa and the Blood Imperium, it is quite common to find Rastramal in the Blood Sun system. The majority of them are either crew aboard the Rastram gunships to aid the Imperium against the Void Sodality, are Sunwrights Guildfolk, or are any manner of petty trader.
  • The Frost Sun: Due to the fine reputation of the Academy of Night, it is quite common to find Rastramal in Academy citadels. In contrast, it is very nearly unheard-of to find them among frost-worlders. It is nearly a guarantee that if one does find them, they are most likely slavers, pirates, or smugglers.
  • The Dragon Sun: Due to the simmering conflict between the Tyrranicum and the Rastram, Rastramal are rare in the Dragon Sun system. The Tyrranicum claims that agents of the Rastram have been discerned among the rebels in its outer systems, but the Rastram denies this.
