Seekers of the Sublime Truth

Mysterium. The Seekers of the Sublime truth are the dominant cabal in Portland. While far from the most numerous cabal in the city, their numbers include both the Hierarch of Portland and the Curator of the Athenaeum. Members:

• Agrippa: Agrippa is almost a caricature of the Ivory tower academic. For most of his life he has been focused on esoteric research, specifically in trying to trace the roots of the Cabala to possible Atlantean origins. He maneuvered to take over the Mysterium thirty years ago, as a result of frustration with the overt restrictions placed by the then current Hierarch, a Guardian of the Veil.
  • Obrimos Mysterium, Master 2º, Eyes of Ain Soph (Gnosis 7; Fate 2, Forces 4, Matter 1, Prime 5, Spirit 5, Time 2)
• Hypatia(Mastigos Mysterium Clavicularius; Curator, Councilor): Hypatia is commonly thought of as the Grand old Dame of the Mysterium. While not a particularly warm person, she is always gracious and will go out of her way to mentor younger Mysterum.
• Glaucon(Obrimos Mysterium Eye of Ain Sophoth): Glaucon is Agrippa’s apprentice. Note that his shadow name is taken from Plato’s Dialogues, specifically the Allegory of the Cave.
• Dantalion(Mastigos Mysterium): Recently an apprentice, Dantalion is a student of Goetia. She is currently enrolled at Reed college and was eager to join the Seekers. Danatalion is unquestionably Hypatia’s Apprentice, and is destined to be Clavicularius.
• Gu(Moros Adamantine arrow): A young African American man whose parents were immigrants from Benin. More than a bit of an idealist, he named himself after a Dahomey god of War. He was effectively drafter into the Seekers.
• Yamamoto(Acanthus Adamantine Arrow). This young woman is a practitioner of multiple martial arts including Kendo.
• Cavalier(Moros Adamantine Arrow): Cabal Banner Warden.
