"The Vault" was founded by Haywood Nixon. It is a small collection of students from either well-to-do backgrounds or who are already involved in business in some way, with a thin veneer of social elitism slathered over the top of it. The philosophy of the Vault is simple: university is a training ground, not just for a degree, but for learning to pitch oneself to the top of whatever heap you find yourself in, learning to leverage contacts and opportunities other miss into success both social and financial.
Haywood was part of a similar group founded at a Seattle university by his older brother Clive Nixon, the renowned technologist financier and business mogul. When Haywood transferred to the University of Astoria, he established a new group for the same purpose.
Haywood Nixon The Mogul's Little Brother Haywood knows how to make this whole operation run - he learned from the best. He's intent on making his mark as a green corporatier, financing eco-friendly operations and clean energy concerns. He's at the U of A for exactly one reason: to meet people who will be running those projects, so he can get in on the ground floor of what they do.
Lysa Godfrey The Ingenue Originally simply in university for the purpose of becoming a veterinarian, Lysa has fallen under Haywood's sway, brainstorming various projects that might radically change how pets and other animals are given medical care.
Carter Smythe The Engineer Though most of what people know about Carter involves his sports career at the university or his membership in the ATO, in the Vault, Carter focuses on the kinds of things he might achieve with an engineering degree. Haywood has convinced him that future success for him as an engineer lies in the realm of green energy, and Carter has thrown himself into research of that field with a will.
Jace Evans The Smut Peddler Something of a stand-out even among the members of the Vault, Jace is the acknowledged "bad boy" of their little group. But he has already established himself a comfortable business, which he intends to use to bolster his future outward in every direction. He is driven and charismatic - just the sort that drives the Vault's need for connections.
Zane Connley The Manager Originally inducted for his behind-the-scenes management of Jace's porn endeavors, Zane is showing his skills in marketing, already blowing his professors out of the water in that department. His project this term has been the exposure of JayCannon.net to a bigger audience, and it is already beginning to pay off significantly. |
