Quentin Ross aka Tesla Quentin grew up having the best of the best; he is the oldest of 5 children and never went without. His parents, Joshua and Cindy Ross got their wealth from creating the company Ross International, a world-renown technology company specializing in the development of alternative energy sources and products (both for individuals/families as well as large organizations and government) that optimize usage of these new energy sources.

During Tesla's junior year in college some strange things started to happen: he'd have the same reoccurring dream made of flashes, sounds, and intense emotions,only to awaken floating followed by falling onto his bed; he had no luck with cell phones and laptops; and when we was angry things tended to break or explode around him, especially electronic devices. At the end of fall term, while walking to class he was stopped by a strange woman(definitely not a student), introducing herself as Kelsey. Not knowing her, he refused and went along his way. Before he could get too far away, she grabbed his arm, looked into his eyes and told him "They are coming." He passed it off thinking the woman was nothing but some poor student trying to get money off of him again.

He went home for winter break that year, and that's when everything changed. When we arrived at home, he noticed that none of the lights were on, and the front doorway was open. Rushing inside, he found his twin brothers (both 7) on the floor of the foyer each with a strange dagger in their back, in a pool of their own blood. Dropping everything, he ran through the house, desperately searching for his beloved family members. After finding his Dad and his sister murdered in a more gruesome fashion, he found his mother leaning up against the hearth in the living room, a mortal wound in her abdomen with the head of the youngest boy lying still in her lap. Falling to his knees, he ripped off his shirt and tried to stop the bleeding, but it wouldn't work. In her last moments, his mother gently took his hands and said, "Quentin, you must listen. We are not your real family. There is much more to you than you know. Strange things have been happening to you lately, haven't they? There are bad people in the world who want to find you, who will stop at nothing to get to you. You must prevail. I promised your real mother that I would protect you, and I have done that to the best of my abilities. Know that...that we love you." As her lifeless body crumpled to the floor, Quentin closed his eyes and screamed, a scream of rage and sadness that he will never forget. When he opened his eyes, the house was no longer there; in it's place lay the crumbling ruin of what his home once was--he, floating mid-air, looked down to see his clothes vaporized and electricity running along his entire body. That was 10 years ago. Now-a-days Quentin (Tesla) spends his days trying to track down his real family, aid those who are in need, and make some sense out of this crazy world.
