Once a wild jungle world with mesas that rose high above the verdant canopies, Teth's far-ago history had as its only settlers the strange B'omarr monks and their distinctive monasteries. In time, though, many of the influential Hutts turned these sites into pleasure palaces, used by members of the Hutt kajidics seeking a vacation spot away from the incessant intrigues and infighting of Hutt Space.

With the coming of the Empire, however, that has changed. Seeking a foothold near Hutt Space from which to threaten it if need be, the Empire has turned Teth into an agricultural world, cutting down huge swathes of jungle to turn them into farming fields. They built a capital, Peroon, intended as the center of government not just for Teth, but for the rest of the Baxel Sector, all under the watchful, greedy eye of Moff Sarn Shild.

In response, the Hutts have done what they have always done: adapt. They are not interested in fighting for the world. Rather, they make it their own regardless of Imperial intentions by fostering a criminal underworld that takes a portion of every Tethan harvest, free credits that make their way back to the coffers of the kajidics.
