The Year of the Bow (1354 DR)

Tarsakh

  • 30th: Nearing Waterdeep, the PCs make camp beside the road in the shadow of a massive tor. That night, they hear wardrums and are attacked by kobolds with massive minotaur lizards. Solar is killed but returned to life by Randis. They quickly pack up their camp and decide to travel through the night to arrive in Waterdeep by morning.

Greengrass

  • The PCs arrive in Waterdeep and are welcomed by a guard at the gate.
    • Tyrannus breaks off from the group to head to the Adarbrent Villa; Randis goes and takes rooms at the Sapphire House.
    • Everyone else accompanies Ace to the building that will become the Lazy Dragon. He takes possession, signs the documents, and arranges to have furnishings delivered in the next few days.

  • Greengrass festival is in full swing. The people are drinking, partying, and being merry.
    • Tyrannus Adarbrent meets up with the family from House Adarbrent. The second born, Syllia, begs Tyrannus to persuade her mother, Akaya the Consort, to move her Coming Out party (not what you are thinking pervy straight boys) earlier. The challenging being that the earlier it is, it may conflict with other more well know or influential houses' Coming Out parties. Tyrannus agrees and succeeds. However, Tryannus uses it as a way to get back in the better graces with Akaya and Syllia which probably helped him convince the family that he has changed his ways for the better and is looking to serve the more common folk.
    • Roy goes shopping. For orphans (Not black ones. He had trouble only finding black ones...its a joke...about Orphan Black..oh never mind...). While at the orphanage he breaks away from the matron and finds the outcasts (not the band). Their leader is a ginger pigtailed girl named Margo. Roy convinces her to go with him and help him start his pickpocket enterprise. He further finds out that she is actually rather talented already in the art of purse slitting. She will be staying in the inn with him.
    • Phila Sandro had a rather...murdery evening (Actually I cant remember if he murdered them or just knocked them out...lets go with murder so we can sing Greengrass, bloody Greengrass). It started and a simple burglary of a warehouse. Well first he found an empty warehouse where he also found out that the blackcoats hang out. He then found his target, guarded by a few guards who were having a good time...a liquidy good time. So Phila has his Bullyboys create a distraction while he tries to break into the second story window. Unfortunately he makes some noise which attracts a guard, which he kills. He then realizes the window has bars and falls to the ground. He joins the Bullyboys and they all kill the guards, like 6 of them, and drag them into the warehouse. They then burgle the place.
    • Ruithondor Birlond wanders around to make contacts to reestablish his fencing business as well as search for rumors/information on getting loot which he can fence. He hears rumors about a league who is offering a reward for the skins of some rare and dangerous beasts. He then meets up with Chuldan Helmstar, a fence in the Dock ward. He happens to have contact with the leaders of the Six Hands, rival to the Blackcoats, who might be interested in working with Twice-Born in taking the Blackcoats down. He will pass on the message to the leaders. Ruithondor then runs into Hulfast, the contact for the fence Lhund Dhaermos. He is transporting some "Dark tentacles" from Skull Port in Under Mountain. They go for drinks and Hulfast tells Ruithondor that Captain Malgaster, Ruithondor's former captain is dead, killed by one of his "cabin lasses" who goes by the name Sarlet Nally. She has taken over the Golden Wench and even added two new ships to her fleet. He then shares a rumor that a Sphenix has been appearing in the trade ward, right before Ruithondor realizes he is poisoned. The poison is likely Assassins Blood, and was likely in his drink. He was then attacked by two assassins who nearly kill Ruithondor, but in a last ditched effort (and using the amazing stunning strike) Ruithondor takes one out then chases the other down and takes him out as well. He kills the first and then ties the other up by his neck to a pole, with his hands behind his back. As the assassin struggles for each breath he takes Ruithondor carves the symbol of a hand into his chest. The sign of the Twice-Born.
