Passive Effect: Hikari always helps Rona in combat. He is assumed to be taking the Aid action on one attack that Rona makes in violent situations, granting her a +2 bonus to the attack roll.
Protective of His Dam (1 or 3 SP): Hikari is protective of his mother. Spend 1 or 3 Stunt Points to have him take a defensive position near her, intercepting attacks. For 1 SP, the damage of an attack is split between Hikari and Rona; for 3 SP, he takes the full attack himself. This lasts until he has taken damage once, or until Rona's next action.
Swift Bite (2 SP): Hikari darts forward and bites the target his mother is fighting, inflicting 1d6+2 damage.
Terrifying Howl (2 SP): For such a young wolf, Hikari's howl is quite impressive, deep and terrifying. For 2 SP, he reduces the Defense of a single target by 2 points, as long as that target has a Willpower of 2 or less.

Gryphon Peak

History

Born in early Gaeleth, Rona was being raised as the matriarch of her pack. Two years later, she started awakening, Selenar the 4th. A few months later she gave birth to her three pups. She was trying to fit in, even hide her awakening, and lead as one of the matriarchs of the pack. Emotional distance, fear, and mistrust grew between her and her pack mates until she was forced to leave for the sake of her people. She went off to a local Rhyden to train and learn her new abilities. The loss of her pack hit her harder than she realized and has hardened her heart because of it.

Goals

  • Short term: Prove innocence and get back to Hikari
  • Mid-term: Train Hikari as a rhyden
  • Long term: Find a way to help her former pack, gain their respect, or find closure.

Racial & Adept Class Powers

  • Pinpoint Attack: Once per round, you can add 1d6 damage to a successful attack if your Dexterity is greater than that of the target of the attack
  • Sidestep: You gain a +1 Defense when you are not wearing armor.
  • Stunt Bonus: You can perform the Pierce Armor or Taunt combat stunts for 1 SP (instead of 2)
  • Take Aim: Aim action gives you +2 on the attack roll (instead of +1)

Talents

  • Scouting:
    • Novice: You can use the lay of the land to your advantage. If you fail a Dexterity (Stealth) test, you can reroll it, but you must keep the results of the second roll.
  • Tooth and Claw:
    • Novice: Your bite is fierce and your claws are sharp. You do +2 damage with any of your natural weapons.
    • Journeyman: Four legs are better, and more stable, than two. You can perform the Knock Prone combat stunt for 1 SP, and those attempting to use the Knock Prone combat stunt on you must pay +1 SP over the normal cost.

Specializations

  • Assassin:
    • Novice: With an Activate action, you can mark for death a visible target within 10 yards of you. All ranged and melee attacks against a target marked for death receive a +1 damage bonus. The mark lasts until the end of the encounter, the target is slain or you pick a new target with another Activate action. You can’t maintain active marks on multiple targets at the same time. A single character cannot be marked for death more than once in the same encounter.

Feeling drawn to something, Rona was brought together with her older son, Hikari, who has awakened as well. He traveled miles to be trained under her instead of the usual rhyden trainer. He has traveled miles alone to find her.

  • Garim Bog (1) The punishment he got for his role in poisoning in the farmers did not get the justice I felt he deserved. I will go out of my way to see him pay for what he has done if I gets the chance.
  • Cosrian: (Dead) Cosrian had been becoming more erratic over time. Becoming angrier more easily. Making rash decisions. But nothing specific we could put our finger on. One night he came to us and told us we had been given an assignment to track down a criminal, a woman named Shinzara. He wouldn’t tell us many details only that she was dangerous and that it was imperative that we find her. He became angry and agitated when we questioned him. We reluctantly went along with him. We were unable to locate Shinzara but Cosrian did find her family. We went with him there. Cosrian attempted to… interrogate them. It was much harsher than we expected. They were in agony. Shinzara arrived at that moment and a battle ensued. As we fought, it became apparent that Cosrian had no intention of arresting Shinzara, he struck her down. In our attempt to stop him, we also, unfortunately, took Cosrian’s life.
