Systems of the Kanz Sector

Governor: Moff Eyenavi, based out of Argazda.

The Veragi Worlds

So called for their nearness to the Veragi Trade Route hyperspace lane, these worlds are more frequented than any of the other worlds in the sector – which isn't saying much, given their remoteness.

  • Amaltanna: A rocky, mountainous place with a Type I oxygen mix atmosphere. It is known to have at least one fortress used by Separatist holdouts during the Clone War. Its native species was driven to extinction by one Baron Edi Wedd during the Clone Wars; it has neither native nor colonist settlements any longer.
  • Argazda: Home to the Argazdan people, green-skinned near-humans with a history of oppression against the Lorrdian people. Today, Argazda acts as the Imperial headquarters for the sector, with the offices of Moff Eyenavi found here.
  • Ayceezee: A long-colonized world quite near the Veragi hyperlane, Ayceezee is high-technologically agrarian, and known for its public university system. Ayceezee has long developed a style of architecture that focuses on framing the beauty of nature and providing places to comfortably walk or sit and enjoy the natural world.
  • Bimmiel: A biologically fervent world, Bimmiel is a terrestrial-class world made up of wastelands and thick polar icecaps. Its elliptical orbit brings it close enough to its sun to melt the icecaps, which subsequently floods the wastelands during a flooding season, causing intense plant growth and the rising of dangerous native beasts out of hibernation. Bimmiel is under Imperial quarantine.
  • Ereesus: Heavily colonized by both Argazdan and Lorrdian people, Ereesus was once the home to a native species, the Ereesi. The Ereesi were a slave-trading culture who preyed on neighboring systems. Several thousand years ago, Argazdans attacked Ereesus, completely wiping out the Ereesi. It is now a peaceful mountainous world with a number of colonies that engage in aquaculture and mining. With the dissolution of the Senate, the Ereesus Planetary Security Forces were dissolved and replaced in function by Imperial forces.
  • Jerne: A two-moon desert planet, Jerne was home to a people, the Jerni, who were extinct long before any of the other species of this sector rose to space travel.
  • Kol Atorn: A terrestrial world with a single city (that shares the name of the world itself), Kol Atorn was settled by Mandalorian exiles many generations ago. It holds a revered place in Mandalorian history, for it was where Mandalore the Hammerborn, one of its revered historical leaders, was born and forged into a warrior. Though resource-poor, the world itself features ample hunting in its various canyons and culverts, and many of the people learn the arts of stalking here. The native language here is Mando'a. The Bounty Hunter's Guild maintains a strong presence in the city here.
  • Kol Huro: A seven planet system, each of the worlds in orbit around Kol Huro (the sun's name proper) were turned into factory-worlds by the tyrant Mustag Olus during the Clone Wars, in service of the Separatists. Though no one has ever restarted the entirety of the old systems, they have been claimed here and there by corporations or guilds, and the technology bent to other purposes, all under Imperial supervision, of course.
  • Lorrd: Home to a human culture of Lorrdian people, Lorrd is known as a bastion of learning and education. The vast Lorrd University has multiple schools not just on Lorrd itself, but on other worlds around the galaxy. Though Lorrd has seen a dark history – including slave raids and attempts to exterminate the Lorrdian people entirely – they have emerged as a bright shining bastion of learning and erudition. It was Lorrd who provided the Senator for the Kanz sector before the dissolution of the Senate; the beloved Senator Nee Alavar (who participated in the Petition of 2000) was brutally executed, and her entire family separated and sent to Imperial labor camps. This shocked and horrified the Lorrdian people to their core.
  • Nord: An ice-world with a small population of human natives. No industry or spaceport.
  • Noremac: A planet with an ugly history of Argazdan slaving. Largely a mining and agricultural world.
  • Thovinack: A forest world with a spaceport and extensive lumber operations.

The Sokrinti Hegemony

A small cluster of worlds under a single aligned government, the Sokrinti are a theocratic orthodoxy of several close worlds. Though they do embrace space travel, they believe that hyperspace exposes the soul to corruption, and so eschew it entirely. As a result they are relatively insular and do not welcome outsiders (whom the see as invariably corrupt). In recent years, the Hegemony has adopted purely secular government figures for the purpose of interacting with Imperial representatives.

The Halo Frontier

Named for the centrally-located space station Halo Station, the Frontier is a small cluster of worlds who share the dubious honor of being among the closest of worlds to the Void of Chopani, just across the sector border in the Chopani Sector. The Frontier worlds maintain a civil alliance, with a council of representatives who are explicitly denied any kind of say on an individual world's operation – here, "civility" means minding your own business.

  • Halo Station: The station was built after a series of wars among these worlds hundreds of years ago, a symbol of an alliance between those worlds. Now the station is a combination of government nexus, major trading hub, and haven for all sorts of unsavory sorts. It is also the preferred jumping off point for one of any number of explorers seeking to stake claims to new worlds they are sure exist within the Void. The discovery of the Antmuel system in the Void a generation ago has only made those explorers all the more determined – which is good for the station's economy.
  • Donia: Right on the edge of the Void of Chopani, Donia is a frontier world. The hot canyons and verdant plains of the world house a great many native herd animals, most of which have been domesticated. It houses only a few small outback settlements, none of them advanced enough to be called cities. Between these towns lie kilometers-wide ranch lands. Donia is also known for the vicious apex predators that hunt the herds, and which sometimes manage to wipe out ranches entirely, herd and folk alike.
  • Gandria Nebula: A brilliant red-orange display of light, the Gandria Nebula is considered to be the outer edges of the Frontier, standing as it does between the Frontier and the rest of the Kanz Sector. It contains two proto-sun gas giants: Koba and Arvoth.
    • Gandria: Around the gas giant Koba spins Gandria, a subarctic tundra-world that houses the oldest-known colony in the Halo Frontier. Gandria stated off as a mission-colony of the Sokrinti Hegemony, but they have since split off into their own sect, the Sokrinti Disorthodoxy.
    • Arvoth: Arvoth is best known for its Perimeter, a massive field of mineral-rich asteroids of interest to both mining concerns and pirates, and its ringed world Dono where pirates often hide from pursuit or lay low between strikes.
  • Harea: A system known for the numerous gas giants orbiting the primary (Harea).
    • Harea II: A large terrestrial jungle and swamp moon whose atmosphere requires an environment suit, thanks to the sheer proliferation of native toxins and diseases in it. The home of the Harean Rangers, a mercenary unit of scouts and guerilla-style fighters who specialize in fighting in dangerous environs.
    • Lekanton: The sole moon orbiting the gas giant Harea IV, Lekanton is home to the chevin/rodian Lekanton Sovereignty, a dictatorship ruled by the chevin. Two-thirds of its rodian population as slave labor for the various ore mining stations in the astroids around Harea III and the gas mining projects in Harea IV's chemical atmosphere.

Neighboring Sectors

  • Chopani. Governed by Moff Threneq. Mostly contains the Void of Chopani, an immense body of empty space. Given its emptiness, security for the sector has been ceded to Moff Threnex by Grand Moff Wessex.
  • Dalonbian. Governed by Moff Threneq. Variety of largely inconsequential worlds mostly left to their own devices.
  • Lahara Governed by Grand Moff Denn Wessex. Contains 245 settled worlds, mostly agricultural. Noteworthy as a hotbed of conflict during the Clone Wars.
  • Mieru'kar Governed by Grand Moff Denn Wessex. Notably low population, and something of a haven for pirates.
  • Nijune. Governed by xx.
  • Oplovis. Governed by Admiral xx. Home to the Oplovis Sector Fleet and goverened by an Imperial admiral, it is known as a major trade center. It also boasts several universities, including the University of Kataris.
  • Relgim. Governed by Grand Moff Denn Wessex. Easily the main center of Imperial power in the region, Relgim sector is the center of the Ninth Oversector and thus under the direct governance of Grand Moff Denn Wessex.
  • Spinward. Governed by xx. Largely abandoned and considered a frontier space. Known to yet contain a number of undiscovered and unexplored systems and worlds.
  • Tragan Cluster. Governed by Moff Brinkan. Cluster of various sparsely populated worlds, many of which are frontier or agriculture worlds. Notable exception is Maxet, with a focus on technological vocation training and research.
